A timeline of Centauri's milestones
Aldebaran announces intention to spin-out Northern Argentina exploration portfolio consisting of approximately 40,000 hectares spanning over six (6) projects into a new separate entity, and appoints Sam Leung as CEO & Director.
Spin-out named Centauri Minerals Inc. – following the stellar nomenclature of the exploration portfolio's previous owners: Antares Minerals Inc. (sold to First Quantum Minerals in 2010), Regulus Resources Inc. (TSXV: REG), and Aldebaran Resources Inc. (TSXV: ALDE).
Strong investor interest resulted in oversubscribed C$5.7 million private seed round financing, including 80 accredited investors and Altius Minerals Corporation (TSX: ALS) – renowned project generation and royalty company with +25 year record of supporting successful exploration ventures.
As part of Centauri's plan to go-public, SLR Consulting (Canada) Ltd. completes a NI 43-101 Mineral Resource Update and Technical Report on the Rio Grande gold-copper project, the first since 2018 and based on historical drilling up to 2013.
The Technical Report is filed on SEDAR+ in April 2026 and highlights Rio Grande as the flagship project of Centauri.
Aldebaran announces its intention to distribute some Centauri shares to its shareholders (10x Aldebaran shares to 1x Centauri ratio), which would result in Aldebaran retaining about half of its 40 million Centauri shares.
Aldebaran shareholder vote and approval are expected in August 2026, which would then allow for Centauri's direct listing on the TSXV exchange.
Centauri receives approval of its new drilling permit for the Rio Grande Gold-Copper Project from the Government of Salta Province, Argentina, which allows the first new drilling program at the project since 2013.
