Large gold-copper-silver porphyry project with a 2026 NI 43-101 mineral resource estimate and located 10km from the operating Lindero gold-copper mine (Fortuna Mining Corp.) in Salta, Argentina
Centauri’s Rio Grande Gold-Copper Project is located in the Altiplano of northwest Argentina at elevations between 3,700 to 4,700 metres above sea level. It is located approximately 250 km west of the city of Salta and 40 km east of the Chilean border. The project is situated approximately 8 km west of the operating Lindero gold-copper mine (Fortuna Mining Corp., TSX: FVI, NYSE: FSM), which began operations in 2020, and is in close proximity to a number of notable mines, projects, as well as industrial scale solar power plants and regional infrastructure that support a sparsely populated mining region.
Various exploration programs were carried out at the project from the mid-1990s, with the discovery of the deposit in 1999 from surface rock samples, to the last drilling campaign which ended in 2013. Regulus Resources Inc. (TSXV: REG) and its predecessor companies worked on the property from 2004 to 2012 which resulted in an initial Mineral Resource estimate completed in 2012. Regulus then completed a spin-out of the project as part of a portfolio of projects in Argentina into Aldebaran Resources Inc. (TSXV: ALDE) in 2018.
To date, 129 holes totalling approximately 74,201 m have been drilled at the project. No drilling or exploration programs have been conducted on the >17,000 hectare property since 2013. The Mineral Resource estimate prepared by SLR International Corporation for the Rio Grande Project as of February 15, 2026, is summarized in the following table:
